Product Information
The Treat-Eezi full length mattress at 195cm x 90cm is designed to fit all single beds with its elasticated corners stretching around the mattress, it can also be used on a double bed by securing just 2 straps on one side, the lower base material is non-slip.
Because the Treat-Eezi range is 100% Polyester and layered into three and four sections it allows airflow to pass through it at 5000 litres per hour (testing reports can be found on our website) thus keeping the body cool during the summer months and heating up to body temperature during the winter.
Treat-Eezi products are being used by NHS Community Services to look after patients with grade one, two, three and four pressure ulcers, in some NHS areas the Treat-Eezi is the preferred method of use for patients at home suffering from the above as well as prevention. We as a company cannot state our products will heal your wounds as there are many cases where even the most sophisticated and expensive equipment will not do the job intended due to the individual circumstances of each patient. We can however surmise, if the capillary arterial blood supply is not affected by blockage and there are no signs of deep vein thrombosis, laying or sitting on Treat-Eezi products can only be of benefit in trying to obtain blood flow without causing strictures.
We believe our complete range of products to be very cost effective when compared to others in the market. We are aware alternating air beds coming from the USA and Europe are in the region of being three times more expensive for a bed overlay, our simple wheelchair cushion is probably four times lower in cost than some alternatives which in a lot of cases have no clinical evidence of working. We use the very latest Tactilus Pressure Sensing and Mapping to obtain the best clinical results whilst patients are using our Treat-Eezi products. Overall our range which requires no maintenance, no electricity and no running costs, plus has proven lifespan over 4/5 years relates to just 48.00 Pounds Sterling per year for preventing and helping to heal even the highest grade pressure ulcers.
Product Maintenance
All Treat-Eezi products can be washed up to 92c, in a standard washing machine that probably reaches 60c maximum, the full length product will fit into most drum sizes, you can wash on lower heat and you can also use a small cup of bleach into the machine drawer if the product has become soiled.
Wash the Treat-Eezi at least once or twice a week, depending on the individual circumstances, taking into account incontinence and associated problems. Make sure the product is always clean. There is no limit to the number of washes the product will take, liquids will fall through the product to the base and can contaminate the mattress so always check both the Treat-Eezi and lower surfaces for cleanliness.
Under no circumstances can the Treat-Eezi material be cut, if doing so you void the two year warranty and the layers of polyester fibres will fall apart.

Yes, you can stay in the same position without concern if you are unable to turn the person into another position.
Yes, if one of you is being treated for either prevention or treatment of a pressure ulcer, your partner may sleep on their side in a double bed without interference. The full length product when placed on one side of a double bed stays in the same position by attaching two retaining straps.
No, the Treat-Eezi can hang over the sides and end of the bed without affecting the product, the overlay is made to fit 3 way bed systems that incorporate a leg break, the exterior of the product can bend to fit most surfaces.
The general rule is, if you are already suffering from an open wound, a grade 3 or grade 4 ulcer, lay straight on top of the Treat-Eezi without using a bed sheet, follow the instructions for use when first using the product as it has been squashed together on a roll rather like a carpet without containing any air inside the polyester material. Wash on a medium setting then tumble dry on a low heat until completely dry. Once removed from the dryer or washing line, give the overlay a good shake to bring air back into the fibres. The technology of the product is simple yet effective, the more sheets, bed clothes and diapers used between the body and the Treat-Eezi, the longer the healing process, hence if the early stages of a pressure ulcer appear, the best way to increase peripheral blood flow is to have direct contact with the product. Bed sheets can be used once wounds have started to heal, however never tuck bed sheets into the sides or ends as this can restrict the layers moving and can cause skin shearing.
Most people needing this type of product will probably have come from hospital where they have been on an alternating air mattress, these plastic membranes similar to a lilo can cause heat building up and increased sweating, the outside materials in a lot of devices are not very friendly to the skin and the constant moving of air flow can be disorienting and has been known to cause sea sickness in some patients, coupled with an electric pump going all night at the end of your bed, the vast majority of our clients state, the Treat-Eezi static overlay was a joy to sleep on, no moving up and down and silent in its operation, the polyester fibres are not the softest in the world but they are designed to support the contact areas of the body and collapse under weight enveloping the tissue and allowing blood to get to the peripheral arteries without restrictions.
